The Education and Outreach program (initiated and directed
by Betsy Perluss, Ph.D.), aims at supporting and directing those who are
interested in integrating wilderness rites of passage and ecotherapy into their
academic studies and research. To date, a number of students from institutions
such as Prescott College,
Naropa University,
Antioch University,
Institute of Transpersonal
Psychology, and Pacifica Graduate Institute have
used their experiences at SLB as a foundation for their thesis and dissertation
projects. Through Education and Outreach, SLB also offers continuing education units to therapists and social workers for selected programs. If you are an MFT or LCSW, and are interested in CEUs, please contact Betsy at the email address listed below. Furthermore, Education and Outreach holds the responsibility of creating the SLB newsletter. Please click on the "SLB Newsletter" link for copies of previous newsletters in pdf format. Individuals, academic institutions, and organizations interested in the work of the School of Lost Borders can also contact Betsy to explore lecture and workshop possibilities.
